LegiMapper contains common water system components. There are required and optional fields in the component dialogue box. Both fields populate your report.
Required Fields
Required fields are in bold with red asterisks. All components have at least three required fields.
- Water flows from indicates the water source for that component. This determines the position of the component in the water system. You can change the the direction of flow in existing components and water sources.
- Both the Water flows from and Water flows to fields allow you to choose from components currently in the system. LegiMapper uses this data to automatically draw connections between components in your diagram.
- Water type allows you to choose cold, hot, or non-potable water.
- Component name defaults to the name of the component type. Rename with descriptive unique names so you can track components of the same type.
- Legionella control locations: For components that are typical control locations you are required to indicate if you agree it is a control location in your water system. The dropdown allows you to chose yes, no, and I don’t know.
- When you hover your cursor over the Is this component a control location? text, an explanation appears with details on if such a component is commonly used as a control location and why is may or may not be.
- Additional optional fields enable you to add as much detail to your report.
- After filling all required fields and as many optional fields, click Save. Note that you can update optional fields at any time.
